I just saw an interesting segment on Fox News. Montana State Senator Greg Hinckle is introducing a bill there called the "Sheriffs First Act" which would give the county sheriff supremacy over other agencies, including State and Federal agencies, and would require, I believe, the legal definition of "Coordination" between those agencies and the county.
