Who will answer the call to head up the Corning Minuteman Brigade? This is a very fun and necessary group! It will be essential as your group group grows and begins to make a difference in your community. It doesn't require a lot of time, but it does need to be taken care of on a regular basis and the leader needs to be plugged into the local group as well as communicating with the Red Bluff groupand the Redding group. Call me if you are interested or have any questions! 246-9706 Sally

Please make a note of the change in location for Fridays Rally--
I blew it :(

Also, this information was brought to my attention last night by a very observant Patriot! Thank You Bud!

Groups plan peace march at mall
A peace march will be held March 20 on the sidewalks around the Mt. Shasta Mall in Redding to mark the seventh anniversary of the war in Iraq.
The march begins at 1:30 p.m.
Those wishing to participate are asked to meet in the Penney's parking lot facing Canby Road and to bring signs, noise makers and flags.
The march is being sponsored by Shasta Cascade Progressive Democrats, Citizens for Responsible Government, Cascade Action Now, the Redding Humanist Society and others.

We cannot let this go unanswered! We will stage a Protest Against the Protesters again Supporting Our Troops on Saturday on the corner of Hilltop and Dana (Sears Parking lot) 12-3 on Saturday. This will give those of you who cannot come on Friday Night a chance to join us on Saturday. Bring your friends, family, flags and signs (and perhaps a chair)

Let's Support Our Troops!

Friday March 19th Marks the 7th Year in Iraq!

Let's show them we haven't forgotten them!

Where: Corner Hilltop and Dana Sears parking lot

Time: 6:30-8:00 Bring a flashlight (to recreate a candlelight vigil)

We are "throwing in with" Families Honoring Our Troops (FHOT) who will be manning the Cypress/Hilltop corners.

Bring your friends, signs and American Flags!

Nice posts Bonnie and George. There's gun grabbers out there. Conspiracy fact. Not conspiracy theory. Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.

U.S. reverses stance on treaty to regulate arms trade

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance, critics said would give every nation a veto. The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better.

On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United States . The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms.

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth?

What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another
morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment. This is neither a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

Please forward this message to others who may be concerned about the direction in which our country is headed. We are being led like a lamb to the slaughter (Socialism/Dictatorship).

Poor Lois, Clearly you don't understand what the mission is for America's military members. Its pretty much the same as its always been since we started going overseas to liberate and free people for the forces of oppression and evil. Sure, those we oppose and seek to kill don't like us. But the vast majority do. After 8 years in Vietnam, the millions of refugees fleeing that country didn't leave and seek safe haven in China or Russia, no they came here to the USA even though we didn't make it easy for them. We help to free people and give them a chance. Sometimes they are able to benefit and sometimes they aren't, but we aren't sending our people to Iraq and Afganistan to kill the general populace, but to liberate them from the Taliban, who rate right up there with the Nazi's for their ruthless oppression of their own citizens. Wake up!

Letter to Editor: Truly support our troops

Editor:

As a member of the Red Bluff Peace and Justice Coalition we have met on the corner of Main and Oak for one hour every Saturday for five years. The purpose is to object to war. We missed two Saturdays.

Recently the Tehama County Patriots joined us to oppose our views and demonstrate their approval of the war.

Both sides advocate support for our troops. We both agree that joining the armed services is a good thing. We need a ready army in the event we are attacked by another county. Barring this, the soldier after his stint should be able to reenlist or join civilian life with educational opportunities.

The reality, heralded by the Tehama County Patriots, is to be shipped to the other countries with order to kill, bomb and devastate the landscape. The natives hate them for the deaths of their loved ones and for interfering with their freedom and way of life.

Our soldiers come back emotionally scarred, maimed or dead. Support our troops. Bring them home.

There was a great turn out of about 250 at the Rally to Protect our Forests from the Forest Service Closure of Roads in Forests, even in the misty weather. this is an issue which needs a huge letter writing campaign. We saw Bill W so at least 3 of us from Red Bluff showed up.
