Vermont favors free opt-out of smart meters. In the photo I thought it was strange the heavy duty gloves he had on. Maybe we could get one of our legislators to propose a bill.

I'll pay pay extra if that''s what it will take to keep my health and privacy. Even though I don't understand why it cost to leave something alone. I would think that it would encure more cost to change something like installing the Smart Meters. But what do I know? LOL

PG&E Can Now Charge Customers Who Don't Have Smart Meters

California regulators say Pacific Gas & Electric Co. can start charging its customers fees to avoid having wireless utility meters installed in their homes. Four members of the California Public Utilities Commission approved a proposal Wednesday that allows PG&E to charge residential customers an initial fee of $75, and a monthly fee of $10 to opt out of the company's SmartMeter program. Low-income customers who want to opt out can be charged an initial fee of $10, plus an extra $5 each month. Dozens of people and advocacy groups from Fairfax to San Luis Obispo testified at the commission's meeting saying exposure to radio frequencies and radiation from the wireless electricity and gas meters harms people's health. PG&E maintains that the meters are safe and will bring down the utility's meter reading costs

PG&E electric rates for residential customers increase 2.9% next month.  The rate increase will provide increased revenue to repair and replace aging infrastructure and invest in clean energy supplies.

PG&E just requested another rate increase fo recover costs for the for the adoption of its SMARTGRID pilot deployment program.  Increase will be less than 1% and go into effect in 2013.  Now is the time to object to any rate increase for the SMARTGRID.  This is PG&E's 3rd request for a rate increase.  The amounts are small but starting to add up.

Go to this link and on the right side of the page click on 'secret military documents'.

http://refusesmartmeter.com/

The PDF file talks about bioeffects of selected nonlethal weapons. Glance through it, you will find info about RF incapacitation and crowd control. Its easy to see how sensitive people could be effected by these meters.
