Great Meeting with Assemblyman Jim Nielsen last night. We are so blessed to have him fighting for our rights! There is so much insanity in Sacto!

I am apalled at the news conference held today by Anthony Weiner.  I feel that he is not representng America in a truthful and moral way.  I am going to contact Wally Herger today and state clearly how I feel, and hope that you will do the same

Tomorrow night I will be debuting a new song, "Last Line of Defense" (hat tip to Mark Levin) immediately before presenting our idea for a state initiative. Hope to see you there!

Citizens Lobby Day in Sacramento March 15th

Capitol Resource Institute (capitolresource.org) of Sacramento is an organization with a mission to educate, advocate, protect, and defend family-friendly policies in the California state legislature and at local government levels. Each year they hold several lobby days in Sacramento for citizens to attend.  The first lobby day this year will be held March 15th.  from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. The day will start at the Secretary of State Bldg. 1500 11th St. in Sacramento. They will teach us about lobbying our legislatures, give out packets of materials and send groups of people to the Capitol to talk to members of the state Legislature.
Citizens will be able to lobby their legislator against Senate Bill 48 by Mark Leno of San Francisco. This bill would require instruction in social sciences, such as geography, history, economics, communication, psychology, political science and more, to include the role and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans. This bill requires the instruction of these “contributions” to all public school students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This is currently the case in Alameda County and parents are told they have no legal right to keep their children at home when these classes are taught. We must let our elected “representatives” know we do not want our children indoctrinated with such material while at school.
We can all look around and see the moral decline of our children. Are you ready to help reign in the “out of control” governing by our elected officials? This is not about placing blame, this is about right and wrong, and taking a stand with Sacramento.  Our state officials and the schools need to stop thinking they are responsible for being “the parent” for school children. The family is responsible for teaching their children the moral lessons in life, not the school. It doesn’t matter if you are a parent, grandparent, or just a concerned citizen, this lobby day is for all people interested in fighting this effort of Big Brother.
A Day at the Capitol also gives citizens an opportunity to understand the issues of the day while equipping them in order to be able to clearly and effectively communicate their political perspective in front of members of the legislature or their staff.
This day will empower people who have never walked into a legislator’s office and help educate repeat attendees on this year’s legislative prospects.
No matter how you feel about the subject of homosexuality, it should not be taught by the schools. If you can not attend the Lobby Day, I highly recommend all who are concerned with the subjects that are being taught in school to start (and continue) attending all the school board meetings. You don’t know what is happening unless you are a witness to the decisions being made at the meetings. Please get involved, our children are vulnerable and we adults are the ones to stand up and hold those responsible accountable for what is being taught.
